Further opportunities:
As a UKYP Alumnus, you will have access to work experience and other volunteer placements.
What you do:
You have to campaign and be elected in your Local Authority region in the official UK Youth Parliament election. If elected, you will have the chance to attend between 6-10 regional meetings and the Annual Sitting where you will get the chance to debate in the House of Commons! The four-day residential includes training, campaign planning and networking sessions. MYPs primarily work on national campaigns like ‘Votes at 16’.
Why do it:
UKYP is an amazing chance to represent young people, and your region, on a national stage. MYPs gain incredible skills and experiences that employers and universities look for. It’s a great opportunity to show how engaged and passionate young people are!
