Summary:

The Diana Award is a nominated award which aims to recognise young people for their charitable work. The goal is to further inspire and develop young social action leaders.

In their own words:

“The Diana Award is bestowed upon courageous, caring, compassionate young people, transforming the lives of others in Diana, Princess of Wales’ legacy. By nominating young people for the Diana Award you too are about to transform their lives as the Diana Award is an award for life.”

Further opportunities:

Diana Award holders become part of the national network and have exclusive access to special work experience opportunities, mentoring and other support to further develop their social action projects and skills.

What you do:

Young people are nominated for the award via an online form by someone who knows the young person in a professional capacity e.g. a teacher, youth worker etc.

Young people and groups can be nominated in several categories:

  • Diana Anti-Bullying Champion

  • Diana Active Campaigner

  • Diana Champion Fundraiser

  • Diana Champion Volunteer

  • Diana Courageous Citizen (individual only)

Successful young people receive a certificate signed by the Prime Minister at a special INSPIRE event and are invited to join the national network of award holders.
